The Joy of Simply Being
"Remember, doing is ego-centric. Being is soul-centric. Resisting and controlling is ego-centric. Witnessing is soul-centric. Separation is an ego-centric illusion. Oneness is soul-centric."
Instead of having a to-do list, try creating a to-be list.
The truth is that we are human "beings", not human "doings".
There is really nothing to be done; simply so much to be experienced, appreciated, lived, and rejoiced. So much to witness.
Let life take its own course and simply flow with it. Take a deep breath and release all the need to fix, control, or change. Become calm and observe the ebbs and rises of life with neutrality and equipoise.
Remember, doing is ego-centric. Being is soul-centric.
Resisting and controlling is ego-centric. Witnessing is soul-centric.
Separation is an ego-centric illusion. Oneness is soul-centric.
So merge, blend, become - experience Oneness with life and all there is.
Live with awe, appreciation, and trust.
Let life do what it does best. Let it lead, for it knows the way.
I know, it's difficult to believe that life knows what's best for us, because we have been programmed to believe that we know better. After all, we ought to know what we want. We ought not release or let life take over. Unfortunately, that kind of conditioning keeps us enslaved and tied to illusions.
You, me, we - we know nothing! We have no control over life's bigger plans. We don't even know what the next fraction of a second will bring forth. Yet, we ceaselessly try to control how things must unfold, how people around us must behave, how certain preferred outcomes must be achieved. It gets tiring, doesn't it?
Abandon that struggle. Cease that chase. Numb the desire to constantly control.
Stop doing. Start being.
Stop chasing. Start cherishing.
Stop clinging. Start releasing.
Stop obsessing. Start witnessing.
Stop manipulating life. Start witnessing its glory in full bloom.
Take a lesson or two from the path, the pace, and the processes of nature.
Nature blooms, releases, ebbs, flows, wanes, rises, shines, rages, glows, grows...
Yet, there is no doing. There is only the effortless magic of being.
Everything is brought to fruition with effortless surrender.
Everything is realized in it's own sweet time.
Embrace nature's ways. Simply be... and trust the Universe.
